"Every act, every breath, and each step can be practice and can help us to become more ourselves."

— Thich Nhat Hanh

Spiritual practice is an activity undertaken with the goal of cultivating spiritual development, growth, or understanding. These practices can vary widely across different cultures and belief systems but generally aim to enhance one's connection with the divine, inner peace, mindfulness, or a sense of purpose.

S&P presents this 90-minute benefit as an exploration of spiritual practice through movement, meditation, and sound. We share these practices in community involvement to help you foster a deeper spiritual awareness and alignment with your values and beliefs.

"Spiritual practice is like pouring water into a mountain of sand. The water disappears immediately, and there is little visible sign of the effort you have made. But over time, through repeated pouring and repeated efforts, the sand becomes more moist, more fresh, more workable."

— Lewis Richmond

This unique event features four esteemed practitioners, each sharing their distinctive spiritual practice:

  • Steve Macari will guide you through the calming and rejuvenating movements of Qigong.
  • Christine Stevens will elevate your spirit with the rhythmic healing power of drumming.
  • Habib Boerger will lead you in soul-stirring chanting sessions.
  • Susan Stites will enchant you with the soothing and harmonizing sounds of crystal bowls.

Meet our practitioners:

Steve Macari

Steve spent 10 years working at an investment management firm in New York City. During this time he completed an MBA in Finance. Around the age of 30 he had a health/life crisis which sent him down the healing path. He began learning about holistic health and nutrition and the energy practice known as Qigong. He went on to work as a nutritionist and health coach in New York City for almost 10 years. In the last few years he has dedicated his time to spreading awareness about Qigong and other self-healing techniques. He has also developed a complete psychological/spiritual healing process known as The O.U.T Healing process. He shares much of this information on instagram and through his website.
